General Running Rigging Lengths
These are generic measurements and may not be the best for every boat.
Halyards
Main Halyard
(P) Dimension x 2 + length from base of mast to Genoa/Jib Halyards
Genoa Halyard
(I) Dimension x 2 + length from base of mast to clutch + 10 for tail and splice.
Spinnaker Halyards
Height of mast + head stay length + distance to winch + 15 ft. for a tail.
Sheets
Genoa Sheets
1.5 x boat length. If you have a staysail, you will have to add more line to get around the staysail stay.
Spinnaker Sheets (Symmetrical)
2 x boat length + 10 feet or so.
Spinnaker Sheets (Asymmetrical)
3 x boat length.
Main Sheet
This will vary due to the many different configurations of purchase. Take your old mainsheet and measure it.
